Following the fantastic response to Long Reads, Big Picture: Metagenome Sequencing Workshop with Oxford Nanopore, we simply couldn’t wrap things up with the summer sessions.

So, we’re adding an extra workshop in September:

If you haven’t had the chance to join us yet, this is your opportunity to dive into the world of long-read sequencing and work through the complete metagenomic sequencing workflow with Oxford Nanopore Technologies – from starting material to data analysis and interpretation.

Over two days of hands-on training, you will have the opportunity to:

• Explore Oxford Nanopore Technologies in detail and get hands-on experience with the high-throughput PromethION 2 Integrated;
• Assess the quality of starting DNA and carry out the complete library preparation workflow for sequencing;
• Work with MinKNOW, the software used to manage sequencing experiments and monitor run quality in real time;
• Analyse sequencing data using EPI2ME, an intuitive bioinformatics platform designed to make data analysis accessible even to those without specialist bioinformatics expertise;
• Gain practical insights, tips and best practices for working with long-read sequencing data.

The programme, hands-on approach and workshop format remain the same as in our previous sessions.

• Participation fee: €228, VAT included

The participation fee includes:

• Access to both days of theoretical and hands-on sessions;
