The campaign aims to support scientists and researchers in Bulgaria in implementing their projects by providing access to the MinION Mk1D, the latest real-time, long-read sequencing device by Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT).

MinION Mk1D is Oxford Nanopore Technologies' newest portable third-generation sequencing device. Weighing just 130 grams, the Mk1D is ideally suited for sequencing analyses anytime and anywhere.

Oxford Nanopore Technologies' innovative approach to long-read sequencing utilizes biological nanopores to enable direct sequencing of DNA and RNA in their native form without fragment length restrictions.

✅Who can apply?

Researchers, doctoral candidates, lecturers and scientists from academic and clinical institutions, as well as professionals from the private sector who have a feasible project idea using the MinION Mk1D.

✅Application requirements:

Submit a brief project description (up to one page) including:

• Project title and brief overview
• Research objectives
• Motivation for selecting the Mk1D – specifically, how Oxford Nanopore Technology will support your analysis

Projects will be assessed based on their scientific or applied value, the suitability of the Mk1D for the project's goals and feasibility within a one-month period.
