MicroPelletsRTPlus® are ready-to-use pellets containing a specified number of stabilized viable microorganisms for use in quality control procedures or as performance evaluation standards. MicroPelletsRTPlus® are recommended for use in performance testing of culture media, stains, identification kits, maintenance of stock cultures and in the evaluation of bacteriological procedures. MicroPelletsRTPlus® may also be used for USP test requirements such as Growth Promotion Testing, Microbial Limits Testing, and Bacteriostasis and Fungistasis.

Each MicroPelletsRTPlus® consists of a lyophilized pellet inside a vial. Rehydration fluid is provided separately as a kit of 2 vials containing 1.0 mL of rehydrating liquid. Each pellet contains colony forming units (CFU's) according the product specification. MicroPelletsRTPlus® contain viable microorganisms and should be used only by individuals with bacteriological training. After use, all materials should be placed into an appropriate container for biohazard material disposal. The MicroPelletsRTPlus® are a cost-effective alternative to labour-intensive dilution/colony count procedures. After processing these preparations of lyophilized micro-organisms as directed you will achieve a quality assurance challenge as required by Ph.Eur. /USP to perform growth promotion tests.

MicroPelletsRTPlus® have the following features:

• Each MicroPelletsRTPlus® is packed separately in a vial - this prevents any spoilage of the lyophilized preparation by humidity etc. It is easy to use: Simply unscrew the cap and rehydrate with the provided fluid.
• As MicroPelletsRTPlus® are lyophilized and not just dried suspensions like other products currently available, they rehydrate instantly and can be used immediately.
• Each pellet contains colony forming units (CFU's) according the product specification.
• MicroPelletsRTPlus® are delivered in economical packs of 2 vials with one pellet / vial and 2 vials of rehydration fluid.
• MicroPelletsRTPlus® can easily be stored at 2°C to 8°C.
• MicroPelletsRTPlus® usually expire 18 month from release date if stored as directed.
• A certificate of analysis for your QM documentation is included with each shipment.

• Just transfer the pellet to the vial with the rehydration fluid.
• Shake slightly to dissolve the pellet.
• The suspension is ready to use.
