The medium is based on Hank's balanced balance solution according to WHO recommendations for transporting samples for all viruses including SARS-CoV-2, mycoplasma, chlamydia and ureaplasma. Added additional components such as BSA, HEPES, amino acids, cryoprotectants, etc. serve to preserve the integrity of the virus.
