The Aflatoxin M1 Rapid Test (0.05 ppb), EU MRL, ILVO Validated is designed for the qualitative detection of Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) in milk and dairy products.
Aflatoxins are naturally occurring mycotoxins with extremely high toxicity and are among the most potent known carcinogens. Once ingested by animals, aflatoxins are metabolized in the liver into Аflatoxin M1. As a result, AFM1 serves as an important indicator of Aflatoxin residues in food, particularly in milk and dairy products.
The test utilizes highly specific monoclonal antibodies against Aflatoxin M1, enabling the rapid detection of AFM1 contamination in milk without the need for additional equipment. The test has a limit of detection (LOD) of 0,05 ppb | 0.05 μg/L | 50 ng/L, which complies with the maximum residue limits (MRLs) established by European and U.S. regulations.
Advantages
- ILVO validation (Belgium) – independently validated by one of Europe’s leading institutes in the field of milk quality control;
- Full compliance with European requirements – with a detection limit of 0,05 ppb | 0.05 μg/L | 50 ng/L, corresponding to the maximum permitted level in the EU, as well as options with other detection thresholds depending on the customer’s needs;
- Exceptionally rapid analysis – results in just 10 minutes;
- No need of equipment (procedure without need of incubator or specialized laboratory equipment);
- Easy visual interpretation of the results without need of any additional equipment but also optional reader-based result interpretation for easier documentation of results;
- Ready to use – minimal sample preparation and a simple procedure suitable for laboratories, incoming quality control in dairy plants, and milk collection centers;
- High specificity for Аflatoxin M1, providing reliable results for routine daily testing;
- All required consumables are included in the kit.
